Fuentes Sweet Onion
This onion originates from the Fuentes de Ebro region and has been cultivated in a traditional manner since ancient times. Characteristics of this variety are the unique straw-white colour, the globular shape, rounded by the root and slightly elongated towards the neck.
This onion is clearly distinguished by its sweet, mild and not very sharp taste. Its tender texture makes it perfect for salads. It is also an ideal accompaniment to all types of grills, stews or any other dishes given its juicy characteristic.
Fuentes small onions, also known in Spanish as “Porronesâ€, are delicious baked.
